Job Title : Field Business Executive (FBE)
Department : Sales & Business Development
Reporting To : Business Head
Location : Field-based (Local + Outstation travel as required)
Role Objective :
The FBE is not a desk salesperson. This role exists to generate real business on ground-meet customers, push proposals, close orders, and bring market intelligence back to the company.
If someone avoids field visits, this role is not for them.
Key Responsibilities :
Field Sales & Lead Generation:
- Visit existing and new customers strictly as per daily and weekly plans.
- Generate new leads through field visits, customer references, and systematic market mapping.
- Actively promote company products including Stabilizers, UPS, SFC, Transformers, and allied power solutions.
- Explain technical fundamentals clearly and honestly - no bluffing or misinformation.
Customer Interaction & Follow-ups:
- Understand customer applications, load requirements, and pain points in detail.
- Coordinate closely with internal technical teams for proposals, offers, and clarifications.
- Follow up rigorously until order closure or written rejection is received.
- Maintain strictly professional communication - no casual commitments or false promises.
Order Closure & Revenue Responsibility:
- Convert enquiries into confirmed orders within defined timelines.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms strictly within approved limits.
- Ensure timely collection of advance payments and Purchase Orders as per company policy.
Market Intelligence & Business Insights:
- Report customer feedback, objections, and reasons for lost orders without bias.
- Identify new industries, projects, expansions, and upcoming tenders.
Reporting, CRM & Discipline:
- Submit daily visit reports including customer name, discussion points, and outcomes.
- Provide weekly pipeline reports covering enquiry, offer, and order status.
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM updates.
- Strictly adhere to reporting timelines - no excuses.
- Targets & KPIs:
- Monthly enquiry generation targets.
- Monthly order value targets.
- Visit-to-order conversion ratio.
- Follow-up closure rate.
- Reporting accuracy and discipline.
- Required Skills & Traits:
- Strong communication skills in Hindi and English (local language preferred).
- Willingness to travel extensively for field work.
- Basic understanding of electrical and power products or strong willingness to learn quickly.
- Persistent follow-up mindset — not lazy WhatsApp-based selling.
- Ability to handle rejection, pressure, and targets.
- Result-oriented attitude, not excuse-oriented.
- Qualification:
- Diploma / BE / BTech (Electrical preferred).
- MBA in Sales or Marketing is an added advantage but not mandatory.
- Experience:
- 1-4 years of field sales experience (industrial or electrical products preferred).
- Freshers will be considered only if highly energetic, disciplined, and field-ready.
